The Cheddar’s Restaurant Chain – How Did Their Popularity Grow?

Do you love Cheddar’s Restaurant? You’re not alone! Ever since 1978, which was when Doug Rogers and Aubrey Good opened the initial Cheddar’s outlet just outside of the Arlington, Texas Six Flags, Cheddar’s restaurants have become an American institution. It is a consistent favorite of quite a few of people, many of whom eat at Cheddar’s once a week or even more!

Particularly because their priority is fresh food and recipes made from scratch, it’s no surprise that their restaurant outlets and their cooking style has swept the nation. They are widely known for their friendly, attentive staff and their mouth-watering and economical dishes. Since the opening of their first restaurant thirty years ago, more than 60 more Cheddar’s restaurants have opened across the nation.

I know that I, for one, greatly enjoyed my trip to Cheddar’s when I was visiting a friend of mine back east. We dined at a good ten establishments during my week-long visit, and Cheddar’s was by far and away superior. In fact, we went there 3 different times! You really can’t beat the gourmet-style fare and affordable prices. Not to mention, the atmosphere was cheerful and fun and the wait staff was attentive and friendly.

Cheddar’s food focuses on family-style cooking, very like their atmosphere focuses on being family-friendly, also. Cheddar’s has appetizers ranging from Chicken Tenders to Nachos to Cheese Fries. The entrees are equally delicious, including such fare as Key West Chicken and Shrimp, Grilled Tilapia with Mango Salsa, Honey Barbecue Baby Back Ribsm and Dijon Chicken and Mushrooms. Don’t forget to leave room for dessert. Their specialty is the Cookie Monster Wow! and it is described as awe-inspiring. It’s made to order, and it consists of a fresh baked chocolate chip cookie, baked in a skillet, topped with vanilla ice cream, hot fudge, a cherry, chopped nuts, and whipped cream.

Doesn’t that sound delicious?
